I have the honour to confirm my telegram of

22nd. July which read as follows:-

Regret to inform you of death of Last, Land Office, Delirium Tremens.

I now enclose a report on the case by the

Superintendent, Goverment Civil Hospital.

3.

Mr. Last did very good work for this Govern- -ment during his nine years' service as Land Bailiff for the North- -ern District of the New Territories. He had an exceptional know- -ledge of that district, was very hard working, and won the entire confidence of the successive officers in charge of the Northern

District.
